Ohnamiya

I can finally pronounce it: Oh-na-mi-ya!
It's a really nice little Japanese restaurant nearby home with really nice bento box set meals, but I have to bring your attention to the dessert of course. It's the green tea panna cotta. A nice little to dessert to finish off the meal with a subtle matcha taste which actually goes well in the form of a panna cotta.
It's pretty too...
It was a nice evening to catch up with friends over a satisfying meal.

Had a Break.

Since the beginning of this year I've been having so many other people's bakes that have put a big sweet smile on  my face. I haven't had access to an oven since I went to Melbourne, but now I understand why Melbourne is such a great place for venturing for something to excite your taste buds. Unfortunately I had no camera either so I can't show you, but I can tell you the sweet treats that I had were "made with love" as quoted from the chef. Okay...so I found one photo of the last dessert we had...cheesecake!
Photography by Tray (:

I only got back last week, and I did my first bake yesterday which were some egg tarts again but they disappeared before I could take a picture of them. Anyways we also had two birthday boys two days ago, or should I say two men who were spoiled with FOUR cakes!

One of them baked this lemon cake himself which was a tangy lemon sponge cake. It was actually my uncle who baked it. Nobody would ever guess. After I took a bite of it, I felt somewhat enlightened. Fluffy, zesty, and tasty. The decorations were so cute and simple too. I shall have to ask for the recipe another day (:

This Is The Bomb

This was the last bake I did before I left for holidays in Singapore.
It's the cookie puff (a.k.a kogepuff) again.

Never be afraid to try something a bit different. Only a bit. One of these puffs were baked in mini muffin tins while the other was baked on a baking tray, but both turned out edible yet interesting. Here's the recipe again.

I think the pictures are enough to let your eyes feast upon them.
I ordered "Merri-mint" which was quite refreshing in between sharing the more chocolate-y ice creams.
Be sure to share the sweetness with many friends.
Transit in Singapore for Swensen's sweetness (:

Midnight Bake with Betty Crocker

When time is of the essence use Betty Crocker's packet mixes, and bake together with some friends. This bake was Betty Crocker's brownie mix which proved successful as we saw none of its remnants the next morning at breakfast. It was one long last night in a place I like to think of as my second home (:
